Kuala Lumpur: KL is a bustling metropolis which had its origins as a shanty mining outpost for the tin trade in the 1880”s at the confluence of the Gombak and Klang Rivers. The site of the original settlement draws a steady stream of tourists. The city”s skyline is simply magnificent and boasts of the world”s tallest buildings, the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers as well as the Menara Kuala Lumpur, the fourth tallest building in the world. Its colonial traces can be found in the majestic buildings of the colonial era, quaint pre-war shop-houses and business patterns. It has a Garden City ambience and at nights the trees and decorative shrubs are colorfully lit, to give it a unique dazzle. The main attractions of the city are Masjid Jamek, National Monument, Sultan Abdul Samad building, National Museum, Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, Central Market, the National zoo and the Lake Gardens.
Genting Highlands: Genting Highlands, only fifty kilometers (less than an hour) from Kuala Lumpur, is the most developed hill resort in Malaysia. At 2,000 meters above sea level, it offers a cool respite from Malaysia's capital city combined with all of the excitement, luxury, and entertainment of an international resort destination. There are international dinner shows and discos with a world-class Casino de Genting. There are two theme parks with dozens of amusement rides and other attractions. In addition, the horse ranch offers equestrian activities for children and beginners. There is a golf course with a challenging 18-hole, par-71 golf course. This is very popular with children (who enjoy the joy rides) and adults (who boogey the night away in casinos).
