Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruise
Green Island is a beautiful coral cay which enjoys world acclaim as a tropical paradise on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. The island is a protected Marine National Park, readily identified by its emerald rainforest surrounded by white sandy beaches and magnificent coral reefs. The marine life includes endless varieties of colorful fish, turtles, giant clams, shells, starfish, sea anemones and much more. The MV 'Big Cat' is an air-conditioned, 30 meter catamaran which cruises daily to Green Island, located 15 nautical miles (27 kilometers) from Cairns. It features spacious and luxurious interior cabins as well as outside decks to enjoy the warm, tropical climate.
Kuranda Tour
The village of Kuranda is situated in North Queensland, 25 km from Cairns. It's located next to the Rainforest and the people made use of this to build a sky-rail and a scenic train to explore this region. The skyrail is a nice way to explore the rainforest. The sky-rail runs over the rainforest and it's a 7.5 km long gondola cableway and therefore also the longest in the world. The Sky-rail leaves in the Kuranda Station (366 m) towards the Barron Falls and from there it goes to Red Peak Station (545 meter) and goes onwards to the Caravonica Lakes Station (5 meters above Sea level). 1h 45min of relaxing and enjoying the sceneries around you that is what you get if you board the Kuranda Scenic train. You see several waterfalls next to your way and you will have a nice view over the valley while you are riding this train against the valley walls.
