Fremantle: This region is all within an easy day trip from Perth, the fresh, cosmopolitan city on the Swan River. The river and the Indian Ocean support all manner of water sports, and the beaches are terrific. The Sunset Coast extends from Cottesloe to Guilderton and features several glorious beaches as well as hinterland attractions. The historic port town Fremantle features the famous cappuccino strip, and the brand new Maritime Museum.

Swan river cruise: Perth is absolutely delightful to watch from the Swan River. The city is one of the most spectacular ones in the world.
